Intimus is a Portuguese brand specializing in the development and manufacture of high-performance solutions for the management of mild to severe incontinence. Our Premium Care range includes disposable absorbent diapers, XL wet wipes, and protective underpads.

Yes. All Intimus brand production is powered by renewable energy. The brand uses its own solar panels to ensure sustainable manufacturing with a reduced environmental impact across its entire product range.

All Intimus products are manufactured in Portugal. We operate domestic production facilities equipped with state-of-the-art technology in the absorbent and geriatric products sector. Developing and manufacturing in Portugal allows us to maintain rigorous, real-time quality control over every batch, ensuring that the final product complies with all European requirements and standards.

About Incontinence Diapers

Absorbency levels vary according to the amount of urine that needs to be retained. Intimus Premium Care Diapers are made with several technologically advanced layers, each designed to meet the specific requirements of mild, moderate and  severe urinary incontinence.

Intimus Premium Care Diapers are available in three absorbency levels:

Plus (6 drops), Super (7 drops), and Maxi (8 drops). The Maxi level offers the highest absorbency and is ideal for cases of very severe incontinence or for overnight use.

For cases of very severe incontinence, the use of a diaper with high absorbency and enhanced leak protection is recommended. Therefore, in such cases, you should opt for diapers with a MAXI absorbency level.

For overnight use, we recommend diapers with a MAXI absorbency level. Diapers in this category offer the highest absorbency capacity. As a result, they help reduce the risk of leaks and keep the skin drier, contributing to a more comfortable and restful night's sleep.

The appropriate size depends on the user's waist measurements. The diaper should fit properly to ensure comfort and leak protection.

Intimus Premium Care Diapers are available in three sizes:

M – waist circumference 90–130 cm

L – waist circumference 120–160 cm

XL – waist circumference 150–175 cm

These measurements are provided for reference only. The appropriate diaper size may vary depending on the user's body shape.

Application in the lying position

  1. Open and unfold the diaper, avoiding vigorous shaking.

  2. Raise the leak guards, ensuring they are not stuck to the absorbent core.

  3. With the user lying on their side, first position the rear part of the diaper and adjust it to the perineal area.

  4. With the user lying on their back, pull the front section of the diaper through the legs and check that the side leak guards are properly aligned.

  5. Adjust the diaper between the legs and around the waist.

  6. Remove the backing from the side fastening tabs and secure them to the front panel. The tabs are repositionable, allowing the diaper to be reopened if necessary for a perfect fit.

  7. Check that the diaper is correctly positioned, paying particular attention to the leg and waist areas.

Application in the standing position

  1. Open and unfold the incontinence diaper, avoiding vigorous shaking.

  2. Raise the leak guards, ensuring they are not stuck to the absorbent core.

  3. Position the diaper with the fastening tabs at the back, at waist level.

  4. Hold the diaper in place with one hand while bringing it through the legs with the other.

  5. Adjust the diaper between the legs and around the waist.

  6. Remove the backing from the side fastening tabs and secure them to the front panel. The tabs are repositionable, allowing the diaper to be reopened if necessary for a perfect fit.

  7. Check that the diaper is correctly positioned, paying particular attention to the leg and waist areas.

The frequency depends on the level of incontinence and the absorbency of the product. In general, it is recommended to change the diaper whenever it becomes saturated to ensure comfort and maintain skin health. Intimus Premium Care Diapers feature a wetness indicator that shows when the diaper should be changed (yellow indicator: dry diaper; blue indicator: saturated diaper).

The lotion helps keep the skin firmer, healthier, and softer. It supports the skin’s protective function and contributes to its optimal, healthy condition, reducing the risk of irritation and inflammation.

When used correctly and changed regularly, no. It is recommended to keep the skin clean and dry and, if necessary, use appropriate hygiene products and protective creams.

About Underpads

The ideal size does not depend on the person's body shape, but rather on the area that needs to be protected. To make the choice easier, we have created a simple guide:

60 x 40 cm: Ideal for smaller areas. This size is suitable for discreetly protecting wheelchairs, armchairs, home sofas, or even car seats.

60 x 60 cm: Very practical for use when changing a diaper. It also works well on the bed, being sufficient for people with reduced mobility who move little during sleep.

60 x 90 cm: This is the most versatile size and the most commonly chosen for single beds. It perfectly covers the width of the bed, providing greater safety coverage.

90 x 180 cm (with side flaps): The best option for people who move a lot while sleeping. The absorbent area stays in the centre of the bed, while the side flaps can be tucked under the mattress. This ensures that the underpad does not slip or move out of position during the night.

No, the Intimus Premium Care 90x180 Super Underpad has an absorbent core similar to the 60x90 cm format. The side flaps make up the remaining dimensions. These flaps are used to secure the underpad underneath the mattress.

The flaps are folded underneath and should be fully opened for correct use.

The choice of absorbency level depends on the amount of urine loss and when the underpad will be used (for example, during the day or overnight). In the Intimus Premium Care range, there are two options available:

Super (Moderate Incontinence): This is the ideal option for everyday use. As these are ultra-thin and discreet underpads, they provide safe and comfortable protection for frequent and larger urine losses, without causing discomfort.

Maxi (Severe Incontinence): This is the highest absorbency level. It is the most suitable option for situations involving very heavy urine loss or for ensuring a peaceful, uninterrupted night's sleep, keeping the bed clean and the skin dry for longer.

The underpad should be changed whenever it is wet or soiled. Leaving a person in contact with urine, even for a short period, can weaken the skin and cause irritation or sores. If the underpad remains completely clean and dry throughout the night or day, it does not need to be discarded; however, for hygiene reasons and due to the accumulation of sweat, it should be changed regularly.

About Wet Wipes

Yes. Our wipes are made from 100% cellulose fibres, are completely plastic-free, and are 100% biodegradable, breaking down naturally and safely for the planet.

Yes, it is 100% safe. Most conventional wipes can clog pipes because they contain plastic in their composition. Our wipes are different: they are made from 100% cellulose fibre, the same material used in traditional toilet paper. Once they come into contact with the large amount of water in the toilet, they quickly begin to break down, posing no risk to pipes.

It is only recommended to flush one wipe at a time down the toilet.

The secret lies in the enriched combination of Calendula and Glycerin in our lotion, made with 98.9% natural ingredients.
